Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of the prompted mobile app and this website ("prompted", the "Service"). By creating an account or using prompted, you agree to these terms, to our Privacy Policy, and to the liability waiver you accept in the app (restated in section 7 below). If you don't agree, please don't use prompted.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use prompted. We verify this at sign-up and refuse accounts for anyone under 13. If you're under 18, make sure a parent or guardian is okay with you using prompted.

3. Your account

• Keep your login credentials to yourself. You're responsible for activity on your account.
• One person per account; don't impersonate anyone else.
• Display names must follow our community rules (no slurs, no impersonation).
• You can delete your account at any time — see account deletion.

4. Your content

You own the videos, comments, and other content you post. By posting, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process (including automated safety scanning), display, and distribute that content within the Service — including generating shareable branded versions of your videos when you use the share feature. This license ends when your content is deleted, except where content remains as described in our Privacy Policy (for example, posts kept as "[deleted]" after account deletion unless you request a full wipe).

You're responsible for what you post. Only post content you have the right to post.

5. Community rules

prompted is meant to be playful, creative, and safe. Don't post or do any of the following:

• Anything that sexualizes or endangers minors. Zero tolerance — accounts are removed and reported to authorities. See our Child Safety Standards.
• Sexually explicit or pornographic content
• Harassment, bullying, threats, or hate speech (slurs are automatically filtered)
• Graphic violence, gore, or content promoting self-harm
• Illegal activity, or dangerous activity presented for imitation
• Spam, scams, or deceptive behavior
• Other people's private information
• Attempts to break, abuse, or reverse-engineer the Service (including evading rate limits or filters)

6. Moderation and enforcement

To keep the community safe, all uploads are automatically scanned for unsafe content, text is filtered for slurs, and human moderators review user reports — typically within 24 hours. We may, at our discretion: remove or hide content, lock comments, mute accounts, restrict accounts to read-only, or ban accounts temporarily or permanently. Objectionable content and the users who post it may be removed without warning.

7. Assumption of risk and release of liability

prompted gives you creative prompts — some of them involve doing things in the real world. This section restates the waiver you accept in the app:

• Assumption of risk. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with participating in any activities prompted by the app, including but not limited to physical injury, emotional distress, or property damage. Please play responsibly.
• Release of liability. You release, waive, and discharge the app's developers, owners, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to your use of the app, including any activities prompted by the app.
• Responsibility for actions. You are solely responsible for your actions and decisions while using the app. You agree to use the app in a safe and lawful manner.
• Indemnification. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the app's developers from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the app.

Never let a prompt talk you into something unsafe or illegal. Skip it and pick another one.

8. Termination

You can stop using prompted or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, and we may modify or discontinue the Service (with reasonable notice where practical).

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the accuracy, safety, or suitability of any prompt or any user-posted content. To the maximum extent permitted by law, prompted's developers, owners, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and nothing limits rights you have as a consumer under the laws where you live.

10. Changes to these terms

If we make meaningful changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and let you know in the app. Continuing to use prompted after changes take effect means you accept them.
